A 57-year-old lady was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Texas Highway 62 in Orange County Thursday morning.
The victim has been identified as Sonia Dea Lejeune of Orange.
The collision, involving a pickup truck and two other vehicles, occurred around 8 a.m. and required the closure of all lanes in the 1800 block of Texas Highway 62 near the Tulane Rd overpass. The wreck, just south of Circle C Ranch Road, seemed to be head-on.
According to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Kia Soul was traveling north on Texas Highway 62 just before 8 a.m. when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with two southbound automobiles.
The woman driving the Kia Soul was a 57-year-old Orange resident, according to Orange County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins, who pronounced her dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy.
Her name will not be disclosed until her immediate family is informed.
According to the news release, the other two drivers were transported by EMS to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.
Troopers are still investigating the wreck.
