Temperatures in North Texas were 15 to 20 degrees lower Tuesday morning compared to Monday morning. If you’re going to the polls, bring a light jacket; temperatures will barely rise to the mid-60s in the afternoon.

The scattered light showers on Tuesday morning will subside over the morning hours, but it is still a good idea to bring an umbrella to the polls.

Sunshine is on its way by Tuesday afternoon, with highs in the 60s. The skies will be clear by the time polls close at 7 p.m., with temperatures ranging from the low 60s to the upper 50s.

A powerful cold front sweeps into North Texas throughout the day Friday, bringing additional widespread rain. The timing is still uncertain and will need to be revised; nonetheless, expect strong to severe storms through Friday.

It’s still hurricane season, and everyone’s eyes are on Tropical Storm Rafael. Rafael is traveling northwest and will reach hurricane strength by Wednesday AM.
