72-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal New Road Accident: Cardiac Arrest Suspected

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ –Police said a 72-year-old Kendall Park man died in an automobile accident on New Road on Saturday. Authorities suspect the man was experiencing a cardiac arrest at the time of the tragedy. The victim’s identity has not been made public at this time.

At 1:44 PM, investigators say the man was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram west on New Road near Shelly Road. The Dodge left New Road and drove onto the front lawn of 108 New Road, where it collided with a fence and two trees. The vehicle came to a halt in front of 106 New Road, according to a press release.

Police came to find the man in cardiac arrest and started CPR. EMS sent the driver to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The driver was pronounced deceased in the hospital.

Officer William Michie from the South Brunswick Police Traffic Safety Bureau is presently investigating the collision. Anyone with information should contact Officer Michie at (732) 329-4648.
