A motorbike and a car collided in the southwest Las Vegas valley on Saturday night, killing one person, according to authorities.
Around 6:30 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a complaint of a collision between a car and a motorbike at the junction of West Flamingo Road and Arville Street.
According to police, evidence at the site and witness testimony indicate that a 2012 Yamaha V-Star was driving east on Flamingo when a 2004 Ford Expedition heading west on Flamingo collided with it.
According to the LVMPD, the front of the Yamaha collided with the right side of the Ford, ejecting the rider of the motorcycle.
When emergency medical workers arrived, they discovered that the motorbike rider had incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the site. Police stated the Ford driver remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
