Head-on Collision in Southeast Fort Worth Leaves One Dead, Two Injured Early Sunday Morning

A head-on car incident early Sunday, Oct. 27, near the intersection of Miller Avenue and Moberly Street killed one person and injured two others, according to a Fort Worth Police Department spokesperson.

Officers responded to a significant accident call near the southeast Fort Worth intersection around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to the spokeswoman. The accident included two automobiles.

One person was pronounced dead at the site, while two others were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the dead after notifying the next of kin. Officers from the department’s Traffic Investigations Unit are investigating the cause of the incident.

The crash was one of at least two fatal accidents in the city on Sunday morning. A wrong-way crash on Loop 820 killed five individuals and injured one about three hours later, according to authorities.
