59-year-old Pedestrian Killed in Miami Early Morning Collision; Another Injured in Separate Hit-and-run

According to authorities, two pedestrians were struck in different locations in Miami early Thursday morning, one of whom died.

The first victim, a 59-year-old man, was hit around 2:30 a.m. near Northwest 7th Avenue and 15th Street, according to Miami Police.

Authorities pronounced him deceased on the scene.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether police were looking for a driver. They also did not provide the victim’s name.

The other incident, which police are investigating as a hit-and-run, occurred around Northwest 36th Street and 22nd Avenue.

The pedestrian was brought to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, according to officials.
