18-year-old Arrested After Allegedly Shooting at SEPTA Bus, Injuring Three Women on Board

After a shooting on a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia in early October, U.S. Marshals arrested an 18-year-old man.

Raphael Ezeamaka, 18, was nabbed in Middletown, Delaware, on Wednesday afternoon at an apartment building in the 400 block of Ramunno Drive. Officials say Ezeamaka tried to escape from a balcony on the second floor when U.S. Marshals came.

Without any trouble, they caught him in a bedroom in the back of the flat. Police say Ezeamaka is the person who shot at a SEPTA bus on South 57th Street on October 8th. After getting off the G bus in West Philly just before 5 p.m., he was shot.

In that event, three women were hit. Their injuries were not life-threatening, so they were treated.

While he waits to be sent back to Philadelphia, Ezeamaka is being held at the Howard Young Correctional Institution.
