Widening of State Highway 77 in Atlanta to continue

ATLANTA, Tx. — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will continue its improvements in Cass County, the widening of State Highway 77 from Farm-to-Market 251 to Farm-to-Market 1841 in Atlanta.

In Bowie County, TxDOT will work on Loop 151 in Texarkana, repairing the concrete pavement from U.S.-59 to the Arkansas State Line and closing various lanes.

Other improvements in Bowie County include the construction of a new bridge on U.S.-259 north of De Kalb.

In Marion County, traffic will be restricted to one lane on U.S.-59 at a railroad overpass north of State Highway 49 as the concrete is being repaired. Traffic will be restricted to one lane each direction.

Also on State Highway 43, steel grating will be replaced on the bridge crossing Big Cypress Creek. All traffic will be restricted to one lane that is controlled by a traffic signal.

Here is a list of the other improvements in the area:

 

Harrison County

IH 20 – From Gregg County Line to SH 43, repairing pavement. Various lane closures, expect delays.

US 59 – At Loop 390, reconstructing intersection for concrete pavement. Traffic restricted to one lane each direction.

US 59 – From FM 1186 to Panola County Line, replacing guardrail on bridges.

 

Morris County

IH 30 – From Titus County Line to Bowie County Line, repairing pavement and installing new guard rails. Various lane closures.

 

Panola County

SH 149 – at SH 315, constructing overpass and widening highway.

 

Upshur County

SH 155 – From south of Sabine River to US 80, replacing bridges and widening roadway.
