TxDOT to add seal coating to State Highway 49

ATLANTA, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation’s weekly road report listed a new construction project on their list as road crews will work to add seal coating to State Highway 49 between State Highway 11 and State Highway 155 — between Avinger and Hughes Springs.

TxDOT is still working on the widening of Farm-to-Market 2888 from Farm-to-Market 250 and State Highway 77 near Naples.

In Bowie County, TxDOT has added the widening Farm-to-Market 1297 between Farm-to-Market 2878 and Farm-to-Market 559 to their construction list.

The new project is the second such road widening by TxDOT in the county as road crews continue to work on the widening of Farm-to-Market 3378 between U.S.-82 and Farm-to-Market 992 near New Boston.

TxDOT is also working on the construction of a new bridge at the Red River north of DeKalb on U.S.-259.

IH 20 Westbound – From SH 43 to Gregg County Line, repairing pavement. Various lane closures, expect delays.

IH 20 – From FM 31 to 0.5 mile west of US 80, repairing pavement. Various lane closures, expect delays.

FM 450 – From IH 20 to FM 968, widening roadway. Daytime lane closures.

SH 154 – From Upshur County Line to Loop 390, seal coating highway.


Upshur County

SH 155 – From south of Sabine River to US 80, replacing bridges and widening roadway.

SH 154 – From US 271 to FM 1650, seal coating highway.
