QUEEN CITY — The Royal brothers in Trevanta and Sidney combined for three rushing touchdowns as the Daingerfield Tigers blanked the Queen City Bulldogs 48-0 Friday night at Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium.
Daingerfield tallied 325 yards on 31 carries and all seven of their offensive touchdowns were rushing. The passing game for the Tigers completed 5-of-9 for 32 yards.
Queen City produced 46 yards of total offense on 27 carries. The aerial attack attempt seven passes with no completions and one interception.
The Tigers had 13 first downs to the Bulldogs’ four. Queen City did win the penalty battle with just one penalty for five yards compared to the Tigers’ six for 65. The Bulldogs also had just two turnovers with the interception and also a lost fumble on their lone loose ball. Daingerfield had one fumble but recovered it.
Queen City had 34 snaps to Daingerfield’s 40.
The Bulldogs fall to 0-7 on the year and 0-4 in district. They go home to host Ore City next Friday. The Tigers improve to 4-2 with a 3-1 district record and host Waskom next weekend.
