Rose Haven Retreat, in Atlanta, Texas is hosting a breast cancer awareness walk this Saturday morning October 28th beginning at 9 a.m. The money raised at the walk will benefit Glenda Martin, a local woman undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
Rose Haven’s walk Saturday will begin at Rose Haven Retreat Health and Rehabilitation, 200 Live Oak Drive in Atlanta, Texas.
Glenda Martin, the beneficiary of the walk is the 55-year-old daughter of Elder B.C. James Sr. and the late Ethel Hall James of Atlanta, TX.
Glenda is a loving mother of 3 beautiful children and 6 precious grandchildren. She has worked as a Medical Assistant for many years with extensive experience and skills in the medical field.
Glenda was diagnosis with Breast Cancer in December of 2016, just a month shy of losing her precious mother in November 2016. She is currently undergoing treatment, but hasn’t let that stop her from sharing with others and giving them hope during this fight.

Rose Haven Retreat stated in a press release that Glenda is very kind and compassionate woman who is always there to lend a helping hand, shoulder or just an ear to listen. They said that she also loves to encourage people to keep the faith no matter the fight.
Rose Haven Retreat said that Glenda leans and depends on God daily for the strength to fight.
“We are doing this to give back to the community, join the cause of fighting breast cancer and just spreading the love in the community,” Jonathan Mingle, administrator of New Haven Retreat said.
