ATLANTA — Farm-to-Market 74 in Queen City will be closed Thursday, May 4 as Union Pacific Railroad will repair the railroad crossing.
Traffic will be officially detoured on a signed route through Atlanta on Loop 236, U.S.-59, Farm-to-Market 251, and Farm-to-Market 785. Trucks must use the official detour route, but other motorists may use local routes they find more convenient.
Portable message boards have been placed near the railroad crossing beforehand to warn motorists of the scheduled road closure. The construction schedule and road closure can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
Anyone having any questions about the road closure, detour routes or construction work can call the Texas Department of Transportation Linden maintenance section at 903-756-7118 for more information.
