New Diana takes Queen City Bulldogs to the pound 55-13

The Queen City Bulldogs won't alter their defense in an effort to stop the New Diana Eagles' spread, hurry-up offense.

NEW DIANA — The New Diana Eagles hurry-up offense soared over the Queen City Bulldogs Friday night with a 55-13 victory.

New Diana’s passing game was incredibly efficient as they completed 14-of-16 for 365 yards and seven touchdowns. The Eagles didn’t just rely on the aerial assault as they also gained 172 yards on 13 carries for a whopping 537 yards of total offense.

The majority of Queen City’s 266 yards total offense came from the run game as the Bulldogs marched 51 times for 221 yards. Through the air, Queen City managed 45 yards and an interception and just five completions on 14 attempts.

New Diana improves their overall mark to 4-3 and improves to 2-1 in 3A Region II District 7. The Bulldogs fall to 0-2 in district and hover at .500 with a 3-3 overall record, falling at absolute last in the district. New Diana is tied with De Kalb at 2-1 in district behind 2-0 Daingerfield.
