Texas, nationwide retail gasoline prices decline this week

COPPELL, Texas (AP) — Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices have declined this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide was down 3 cents to average $2.24 per gallon. Gasoline prices across the country slipped a penny to settle at an average $2.48 per gallon.

Gas is cheapest in San Antonio

Association officials say San Antonio has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $2.13 per gallon. Drivers in Midland face the state’s highest retail gasoline prices at an average $2.52 per gallon.

The cheapest gas we found in Atlanta, Texas is at the Murphy USA,  205 Loop 59 North and Main Street. Their gas is $2.24 cents per gallon for regular unleaded.

Shell at 901 North US-59 near W Lanark St. in Queen City has the cheapest gas there; it’s $2.25 per gallon.

The cheapest gas in Linden, Texas is at the Shell on US-59 South near SH-155 where it’s $2.29 per gallon today.

AAA experts say cheaper winter-time gasoline prices are in markets across the bulk of the country as gasoline demand hit the lowest mark since February.
