Atlanta Rabbits JV beats Pittsburg 6-3 to win JV district championship

PITTSBURG — The Atlanta Rabbits won a back-and-forth affair with the Pittsburg Pirates to win the JV district varsity championship 6-3 Saturday.

Kade Wood hit an RBI double to drive in two runs to give the Rabbs a 5-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning. Wood scored the sixth run for Atlanta to set the game’s final score.

Hurler Hunter Allen pitched six innings for Atlanta striking out six batters, giving up no walks, and allowing just three runs on eight hits.
